Accredited and Non-Accredited Courses - An Explaination

The Qualification and Credit Framework (QCF) sets out the levels against which Qualifications are recognised in Northern Ireland and the UK.  It provides clarity so that You know how “in depth” the Qualification is and also how you can progress to higher levels on the Framework.

The QCF starts at Entry Level to Level 8.  Useful guidance on the QCF as well as the RoI Equivalent can be found here.  RoI specific information can be found at the QQI website.  You can also explore The European Qualifications Framework.

We provide Qualifications at Levels 1, 2, 3 and 4 on the QCF.

As well as Accredited Qualifications we can provide Non-Accredited Courses.  These Non-Accredited Courses are Certified by The Training and Recruitment House and can also stand up to the Accredited Courses as their content is at least the same as the Accredited Version.  This will provide you with a lot more flexibility in your learning.

OFQUAL, the Regulator, has decided that the QCF will undergo changes in 2015.  It is now known that the Framework will now be called the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF) although we may not see many changes until 2017 and beyond.  The Levels of the QCF are still in place.  You can find out more information here.  OFQUAL have also decided that from 1.4.16 they will only regulate Qualifications in England.  In Northern Ireland CCEA will regulate.  Separate bodies shall regulate in Scotland and Wales.
