    JOb - Production Operative

    Worktime - 6am - 6pm

    Location - Craigavon, County Armagh.

    Bakery Production Operatives required for our client based in Craigavon, County Armagh.

    The Job:
    As a production operative in a bakery enviroment you will work in a busy factory which make a wide range of Baked goods each day, full training will be provided for all jobs in this factory. 

    You could be working in either the Food Production area or Despatch area depending on your work and job training.

    You will ensure all products are handled with care to ensure no damage to goods and they are ready for despatch on time.

    Working extra shifts to meet production needs when production spikes/peeks. 

    Check all products to ensure a high quality.

    You will normally be working 8 to 12 hrs shifts. 

    Fill relevant paperwork.

    Requirements

    You will ideally have some previous experience working in a Food Production or Bakery environment, but this is not essential. 

    You must be willing to learn new skills and processes, have a positive attitude and a willingness to work. 

    Good communication skills.

    Excellent Team work.

    Ability to work on own initiative.

    Excellent timekeeping.

This role plays a crucial part in the successful operations of their transport department.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Liaising with customers and drivers regarding deliveries.
    • Book in customers’ orders with the destination site to ensure that stock is booked on time.
    • Process customer emails onto the booking system as required within cut offs
    • All web import jobs to be taken on to the system
    • All EDI’s are to be imported onto the system
    • Address any customer queries which are sent through relating to the orders
    • Answer all queries with regards to the customer online booking system
    • Support the training of any customer who needs assistance on the online system
    • Support driver debrief and escalate issues as required
    • Maintaining customer database as required
    • Complete relevant paperwork and filing as required.

    Experience and Qualifications

    • Previous experience of working in an administrative role
    • Excellent attention to detail
    • Outstanding Communication skills both verbal and written.
    • Experience of working on Microsoft Office Packages
    • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels
    • Planning, organisation and time management skills
    • Able to work as part of a team
    • Previous experience in a transport environment would be an advantage

  • Graduate Quantity Surveyor

    Haffey Sports Grounds are based on the Derrycarne Road, Portadown and are looking for a Graduate Quantity Surveyor to expand their growing team.  We are interested in meeting ambitious individuals looking to kick-start a career as a QS in the construction industry.

    As a Graduate Quantity Surveyor (QS) you will have the opportunity to establish your career with a leading contractor working on a variety of sports grounds and civil engineering projects throughout the UK and Ireland.  

    Reporting directly to the Senior Quantity Surveyor your duties will include but not be limited to the following:

    Prepare and submit Full Bill of Quantities (BoQ's) to Senior QS

    Understand and calculate Earthworks Volumes

    Be able to carry out value engineering calculations and measurement in conjunction with Site Manager/s.

    Assist with enquires from Sub-Contractors to attain costs for Tender, as required.

    Attend regular progress meetings with clients/management.

    Managing relationships with clients, contractors and colleagues

    Preparation of output targets and monitoring targets.

    Preparation of cost reports.

    Management and administration of subcontracts.

    Assisting in the administration of the main contract.

    Assisting in the preparation of claim submissions and monthly applications.

    Assist with the management of project costs form initial design stages through to project completion and handover, with specific responsibility for Project/Revenue/Cost Control.

    Working closely with clients throughout the duration of the projects and advising/updating as required

    Monitoring projects on an ongoing basis to ensure costs and work in progress figures are accurate and in line with projections

    Attend and contribute to internal meetings, working with colleagues to update on progress/costings/revenue projections etc.

    Qualifications and Experience:

    Degree educated in a relevant discipline

    Previous experience in a Quantity Surveying role (placement year) would be desirable but not essential.

    Experience working on civil engineering projects would be desirable but not essential.

    Our ideal candidate will have:

    The ability to communicate effectively at a senior level both internally and with clients

    A willingness to travel (graduates will be expected to work on projects across various locations in the UK and Ireland, when required)
